Simon Longman's hilarious, heartfelt tragicomedy makes its Australian premiere at fortyfivedownstairs in 2024, produced by The Ninth Floor in their debut production.

 

Acclaimed director Iain Sinclair (A View From The Bridge, Berlin) directs Laurence Boxhall (The Mousetrap, Shakespeare In Love) and William McKenna (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Admissions) as Snowy and Paul in this mercurial, darkly funny, and deeply human play about friendship, purpose, loneliness, and a cow named Sandy.

With lighting from multi-Green Room award winner Richard Vabre, set and costume design by Louisa Fitzgerald, and sound design from Connor Brown, and a stellar team behind the scenes helmed by Jessica Smart and Ashleigh Walwyn, rural Herefordshire is brought to life in Melbourne. 'Milked' sees Snowy and Paul navigate a world slowly leaving the countryside behind, the struggle with unemployment, and why the grass always seems greener on the other side.
